Ministry Team

Martie has been married to his wife, Heather, for 23 years, and together they have been blessed with eight children, ages 28 to 14. With a heart for the Lord and His Church, Martie served as a pastor in Durham, North Carolina, for over 18 years, where he dedicated himself to shepherding and equipping the church for gospel ministry. Martie also ran Eight Arrows Farm, exercising his passion for organic regenerative farming.  Martie and Heather share a passion for classical Christian education and utilize Classical Conversations to educate their children in their home. Martie began serving as the pastor of Kennebec Baptist Church in February 2025 and is devoted to shepherding and equipping the people of KBC and engaging the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Ian was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, and has been living in the US with his family since 2007. He began his musical training in Jamaica at age 8, learning classical piano through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London, England. He committed his life to the Lord at age 16, and shortly after, he involved himself fully in the music ministry of his home church. Ian served as Music Director at Boulevard Baptist for 10 years, then left Jamaica to serve as full-time as Minister of Music at Parkway Baptist Church, Miami Gardens, Florida. He and his wife Anna became members of Kennebec Baptist Church in 2017.  Ian continued his music ministry by singing on the choir and playing for Sunday services. As a worship leader he seeks to guide God's people in worshipping Him through music. Ian enjoys watching sports and playing games with his wife and three children, Raymond, Imani, and Timothy.

Christopher grew up at here at Kennebec. He was saved at age 13 and accepted the call into ministry at the age of 19. After moving to Western NC to attend Fruitland Baptist Bible College, he met his wife, Dayna. He served in Western NC as a Student Director before moving back in 2020. He started leading KBC Youth in 2021 along with our amazing Youth team. He has a heart to see young people come to know Jesus and grow closer to Him. He is a die hard Duke and Philadelphia Eagles fan, loves music, and hanging out with his dog Ellie. 

Emily was born and raised in the Angier/Fuquay area of North Carolina. She has a degree in Early Childhood. Emily has been a lifelong member of Kennebec Baptist Church. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior as a child. Emily has served in the children's program at Kennebec for the past 16 years.  Emily is passionate about teaching children about the love of Christ and leading them to build a personal relationship with Him. 

 Dina serves as the Ministry Assistant at Kennebec Baptist Church, bringing over 15 years of administrative experience to the role. She has been married to her husband, Preston, for 18 years, and they are blessed with three children. Dina and her family have called Fuquay-Varina home for the past two years. With a strong background in administrative work and a heart for serving others, she is dedicated to supporting the ministry and mission of Kennebec Baptist Church.
